Crystal Radio Terminology

I wanted to build a terminology web page, but time is really a problem. I do not have enough time to do this work, so I am going to ask for some help. If you have a definition for any of the "terms" below or have a new term, please email me and I will post it here. As always on my website, I always give credit to the author! Email address is below.

365 or 365er A perticular size of variable capacitor. 365 pico farads in size. Sort of a standard in radio use.
absolute phase
AC term used for "alternating current"
air variable term used for a "variable capacitor" (see variable capacitor)
bandspread
 or
bandspreading

BCB
"Benny" or "benny"
C term used for "capacitance" (see capacitance)
cap term used for "capacitor" (see capacitor)
Capacitance The ability to store electrical energy or power between 2 metal plates
that
are very close together but do not touch each other.  Large amounts of
opposite electric charges are held on opposing plates because the
charges are
attracted to each other across the insulated space between the plates.

Since the plates are not connected to each other internally, direct
current cannot flow through capacitance.

For alternating current like audio and radio frequency signals, the
charges
flow into and out of the plates alternately charging them negative and
positive in a way that acts as though the signal flows through the
capacitance.

DC term used for "direct current"
decktalkers

dual ganged
DVM term used for "digital volt meter"
DX
frame (vcap)
full wave detector
full wave doubler
FWIW short for  "for what it's worth"  (DB)
half wave doubler
HF HF short for "High Frequency". Radio frequencies are between 3 and 30 MHz. This range is often called shortwave.  (Smith)
Hobbydyne
IF
Impendnce
Inductance
inverted L
k An abbreviation of 1,000. Example - A resistor with a value of 1k ohms is the same as a resistor with a value of 1,000 ohms.  (Smith)
